Total Daily Energy Expenditure (TDEE) is the total calories you burn each day, including your BMR plus calories burned through activity and exercise.

TDEE = BMR × Activity Multiplier

Tip: To lose weight, eat below your TDEE. To gain weight, eat above it. A 500 calorie deficit/surplus equals roughly 0.5 kg (1 lb) per week.
